Charlie is considered to be one of the greatest athletes in Jersey City State history for his contributions to three different sports. During his three year basketball career, under Coach Ollie Gelston, Gothic teams won four major championships; N.A.I.A. District 31 Christmas title (1962), N.J.S.C.A.C. titles (1964 and 1965), and the very prestigious N.A.I.A. District 31 Post Season Title (1964) in two classic one point victories. The Three year record was 55-19, and 25-5 within the conference. He was named first team All-Conference and first team College Division All-State in 1963, 1964, and 1965. Charlie is the third greatest scorer in college history with 1,322 points.  He was also a member of Coach Tom Gerrity’s 1964 conference champion cross-country team, and participated in track and field. Today, he is a teacher in Jersey City and a highly successful basketball coach at Lincoln High School.
