A faculty member, she has served as faculty advisor/coach for Jersey City State’s cheerleaders for more than 20 years. She also served as advisor to both the twirling and pep squads. Her cheerleading squads were Metropolitan Intercollegiate Champions in 1961 and 1964, finished second in 1963, 1965, 1966, and 1967. A third place was registered in 1962. Carolyn was co-founder of the Metropolitan Cheerleading Judges Association. She was also involved with the formation of the JCSC color guard and was their part-time faculty advisor. Additionally, Carolyn has given unstintingly of her time to numerous athletic activities and projects, as well as being an active member of various athletic department committees.
