    Men's Basketball, Coach, Contributor

John has been associated with Jersey City State College athletics for forty years in many varied capacities. For eleven years, he served as the men’s basketball coach during a time when the school’s male population was sparse. Yet, John’s teams were well coached and competitive. One of his players, Don Brandes, was the first 1,000 point scorer in JCSC history and is a charter member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. After retiring as coach, John maintained his support, interest and dedication to the entire intercollegiate sports program.  He has served on the College’s Intercollegiate Athletic Council and the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.
