Dwayne West was a four-year letterman and a three-year starter for the Gothic Knight basketball team. He capped his career as the captain of JCSC’s first NCAA Division III Final Four squad. A second-team All New Jersey Athletic Conference performer as a senior, West helped the team to a conference title and a school-record 24-8 record. He ranks 14^th on JCSC’s all-time scoring list with 1,075 points, and played on an ECAC Metro NY-NJ Championship team as a freshman. The Gothic Knights were a combined 76-37 during his four seasons. He earned a marketing degree from JCSC in 1987, and currently is a merchandising manager with the Thomas J. Lipton Co. Inc. He resides in East Orange with his wife Jacqueline (Carney) and their 10-month-old son Trevor Dwayne. West still plays on the JCSC Alumni Team which features several former Gothic Knight greats and is sponsored by Morlee’s Sporting Goods.
