Pete played varsity tennis in both singles and doubles for four seasons. He was selected first-team All-NJSCAC in 1967, 1968 and 1969. In his freshman year, he received All-Conference Honorable Mention. Pete served as co-captain in his junior year and captain in his senior year. He received the Alumni Association Scholar Athlete Award in 1969. Following his graduation, Pete went on to coach both boys (1971-1981 ) and girls (1976-1980) varsity tennis at Clifton High School. He was named Boys Coach of the Year seven times, and his teams posted one undefeated season, two NNJIL League Championships, two Passaic County Championships, and six straight Passaic County Tournament Championships.  Additionally, his girls teams had one undefeated season, one Passaic County Tournament Championship, and Pete was named Passaic County Girls Coach of the Year once. He still actively participates in recreational tennis in North Jersey and is ranked third in the East in mixed doubles by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Pete is currently a program analyst for Springer-Verlog Publishing Company.
