An outstanding catcher during his two years with the team, Vince earned First-Team All- NJSCAC honors in 1971 and 1972 while playing for head coach Gene Bacha. In 1971, he set a Jersey City State record, which still stands, when he hit .482 for the season, ranking him ninth in the nation in Division III. In his junior year, he batted .361. Vince also played offensive guard on the highly successful football team in 1969 and 1970 under Hall of Famer Jack Stephans. Vince is currently a teacher at Ridgefield Park High School and has been an assistant football coach for the past five years and head baseball coach for the past six years. He has coached Ridgefield Park to Three BCSL-American Division titles and also finished second in the County tournament in 1985 and 1986. Vince won his 100th game on the diamond last spring.
